Stepping into the Inn at Houmas House Estate felt like a journey back in time - the historic structures exquisitely restored, the gardens impeccable during the day and downright enchanting at night. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, including the lovely Sandy who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The cottages were a perfect oasis, offering a cozy retreat with modern amenities. the housekeeping was impeccable, ensuring a pristine stay. We indulged in the delicious breakfast options each morning, served hot and with a variety to choose from. the food service staff at Dixie Cafe and Carriage House were incredibly helpful and attentive. The proximity to the beautiful gardens allowed for romantic sunset strolls and moments of relaxation by the Mississippi River. the attention to detail in the decor of the rooms and facilities was evident, creating a charming atmosphere. Though some original furniture was missing from the mansion, the replacements were tastefully done. the Inn at Houmas House Estate offered a unique blend of history, luxury, and natural beauty. From the stunning grounds to the excellent service, our romantic escape was truly memorable. I would highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a magical retreat with a touch of Southern charm.
